Pear Tree Farm Barn

Situated only 15 minutes leisurely walk from historic Hardwick Hall, Derbyshire, (a National Trust Property) in the conservation village of Rowthorne; Pear Tree Farm Barn offers first class self-catering accommodation, with two en suite bedrooms (one twin and one double), in a tranquil and picturesque setting.

The barn is set to the side of Pear Tree Farm House, a grade 2 listed building. It overlooks beautiful open countryside where horses graze and there are views from the garden over Chesterfield.

Expertly converted in 2003 providing luxury self catering accommodation for a maximum of 4.

There is a spectacular 30’ lounge/diner with vaulted ceiling and exposed king post trusses. Exposed stonework, a wood/solid fuel burning stove (for which there is an additional charge), T. V., video, DVD and ‘B&O’ stereo.

The lounge has really comfortable furniture (some of which is antique), two rocking chairs and an oak dining table and chairs. Wall lights and feature spot lights create the mood and there is a selection of books, magazines, CD's and games to keep everyone happy.

Rowthorne Village is an ideal location for that relaxing care-free break at anytime of the year. The village is only a 5 minute drive from junction 29 of the M1 yet it is almost in another world, set in the heart of beautiful Derbyshire countryside. There are ten houses scattered throughout the village with two working farms, both arable and live stock.

An ideal base for touring the Peak District National Park and also Chatsworth House and Hardwick Hall
