Casa da Pedra is a traditional Madeiran house in the village of Arco da Calheta. The locals reckon that Arco da Calheta has the best micro-climate of all! It’s a quiet location – you are more likely to hear the neighbours’ dogs and chickens than traffic. The house has two bedrooms, one with an en-suite bathroom. Downstairs is one big room. Outside there is a swimming pool and south facing terrace. The room downstairs provides lounge, dining and kitchen areas. The walls are very thick stone – they are over 150 years old, part of the original cottage.
